EXPLORE THE POUR

Guest speaker, Loïc Le Calvez from Wine Truth

1.45pm – 2.15pm

A masterclass for those who love to learn about wine. Do we use preservatives in wine? What are we drinking now, and how is that changing? What grape varieties grow well in our region and why? Loïc will also teach us what all of those fancy wine words mean, which will then be followed by an audience Pop Quiz where someone will be crowned the winner of WHO WANTS TO BE A VIGNERONNAIRE?!

GRAMPIANS WINEMAKERS BARRIQUE AUCTION

2.15pm – 2.45pm

Grampians Winemakers Reserve Shiraz Barrique Auction is on again! So what exactly is a Barrique you ask? The word ‘barrique’ refers to a specific size and shape of oak barrel (225 litres to be precise!). Saturday’s auction provides a unique opportunity for wine collectors to invest in something rare and special. This is because the wineries that contribute to the barrique donate a limited volume of their best Shiraz from that vintage.

So be one of the winning bidders lucky enough to take home a unique ‘taste of the Grampians.’
