Kilmaille Knits is a family-owned farming business with a whole garment knitting machine on its farm. They use only Australian Extra fine merino yarn from Tasmania, processed in Tellegno in Italy, and knitted on their farm.
All their styles are unique, and they specialise in custom knits made to order. One unique offering is their personalised blankets and throws with illustrations, property names, business names, slogans, and kids’ names. These items are crafted to create memories and become lasting heirlooms loved for generations.
Their products are created on a Shima Seiki whole garment knitting machine, drawing inspiration from the environment to produce bespoke and unique items with minimal impact on the world. They aim for their items to be well-used and long-lasting, whether clothing, blanket, or throw, and collaborate with others to produce their range that includes throws and wearable art. All items are hand-finished on their farm in their knitting studio by their farming family and friends. They love collaborating with others to produce unique items.
